Insurance Companies That We Can Bill Directly

Insurance Companies

For those interested in using insurance for their massage therapy treatments, please bring your benefits card (with the plan and member number) to your first visit to complete a direct billing consent form in person.

*Clients/patients are responsible for paying any expenses that are not covered by the insurance company.*

Please also check the following with your insurance provider/carrier:

  1. The coverage limits per fiscal year and per visit.

  2. Confirm whether a doctor's prescription is required for submitting massage therapy claims.

In certain situations, direct billing may not be feasible. Therefore, clients may be requested to pay the full treatment cost at the end of the session, subsequently getting an insurance receipt to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement.

This can occur when:

  • The insurance company is not on our list of insurance companies for direct billing.

  • The insurance company's online portal is temporarily unavailable (technical difficulties).

  • The insurance company responds with a 'pending' status, indicating an inability to complete the adjudication process.

  • The claim is submitted on the patient's behalf, and the insurance company issues payment directly to them.

  • The insurance plan requires manual claim submissions, rather than direct billing.

About Us

About This Company

For most patients, massage therapy is an important part of specific medical treatment plans to help them return to daily activities. For example, massage therapy is helpful after joint replacement surgery or an injury. Massage also has many mental health benefits. Even people who are focused on the physical benefits say they feel less stressed after getting a massage. It's common to feel relaxed, tired, or even sore after a massage. This is because your muscles are being worked on by the massage therapist. After a massage, it may feel like you completed a workout. It is even possible to experience a headache or nausea after a massage.

Taking these factors into consideration, I set out to design a client-based experience that was second to none. This has taken a considerable amount of planning and care, and thus Heaven’s Healing Hands was born. My goal is to provide all my clients an easy way to set up appointments, convenient times and payments including direct billing & the best possible massage treatment utilizing all my years of training and experience to actually and effectively heal you in a relaxing, professional environment. In addition, I have set up a loyalty program to thank and reward my clients for their continued patronage.

Her journey into the field of massage began in 2012. She was growing tired of working in various fields that provided no self-satisfaction and left her feeling not contributing as much as she had for much of her life. She embarked on a search. Where this was going, she wasn’t sure. But she knew one thing, whatever she found, it had to be something meaningful. Something that she could get passionate about. Something to create a life around. It was at this time that a series of events led her to meet a gentleman named Qiang. Now, to get you up to speed, Qiang was a master in the Chinese medicine arts of healing through massage. His skill was and still to this day is unparalleled by any who teach the ancient art of shiatsu and reflexology. In traditional Chinese medicine these skills rest on the ancient Chinese belief in qi (pronounced “chee”), or “vital energy.” According to this belief, qi flows through each person. When a person feels stressed, their body blocks qi. This can cause an imbalance in the body that leads to illness. His methods aimed to keep qi flowing through the body, keeping it balanced and disease free.

So Amy began a gruelling training schedule under the masterful tutelage of Qiang. This training went on for years.  After what seemed like an eternity to Amy her teacher asked her to join him for a final meeting. Qiang said, “Amy, the day has arrived when you may now hold the joy in your heart knowing that you have learned all that I have to teach, and you may now move on to healing people with all your skills and passion.” Amy was overwhelmed with happiness at his words.

From here, Amy went on to practice her skills for a few years at various spas. She continued to heal many people who came to see her regularly. Along this time she also practiced learning more English, which would help her in the next part of her journey.

After that, in February 2020, Amy started school to obtain her RMT license. Over the next few years, with the support of her family, Amy was able to pass the course, graduate and obtain her professional license to become a Registered Massage Therapist! This journey had many ups and downs, many challenges to overcome, many tears of frustration and of joy. However, she wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Meet Kenyun (Amy) Liu, RMT

Hello and Welcome to Heaven’s Healing Hands,

We thought it would be nice for you to learn a little about the founder of Heaven’s Healing Hands and how her life experience, understanding, wisdom and altruistic nature have contributed to the formation of the company.

Let us introduce you to Amy Liu.

Amy, who is native to Guangzhou, in the province of Guangdong, China, is also of humble background. Sadly, she grew up very poor, losing her father at the age of 19 and giving up on many of her dreams to work and help her mother support her younger brothers with food, shelter, and school. Amazingly, Amy maintains a relaxed nature about herself. Many who come to know her are immediately drawn in by her simple approach to life and friends.

Today, we find her having accumulated a good number of years of knowledge and experience in massage care. We asked Amy to take us through some of her reasons for taking this path and ultimately forming the business.
